Meet Ninoshka
Hey girlie! I’m Ninoshka, a solo travel addict, foodie enthusiast, and founder of Ninoshka Travels.
After visiting 30+ countries on my own, I realized how few spaces exist to support BIPOC (Black, Indigenous People of Colour) women who want to explore the world solo. So, I built one.
Ninoshka Travels is my love letter to women who are tired of waiting for the “right time” or the “right people” to travel with. Here, we take up space, travel smart, and embrace the magic of doing it our way, with safety, culture, and joy front and center.

What do you wish you knew before you booked?
Before You Book is an ongoing research initiative exploring how BIPOC women make decisions about independent and solo travel.
I’m collecting real experiences from women who have travelled independently to understand what information they searched for, what was difficult to find, how identity shaped their experience and what they wish they had known beforehand.
The goal is to turn the information that currently lives across group chats, Reddit threads, TikToks, DMs and word of mouth into something more useful.
